One of the streetkids, Victor, doing glue. Aurolac. It destroys their stomach and lungs.


Pictures for editorial use and for the NGO "Helping Hands". Please contact me if you would like to make a donation to this NGO. They offer hot soup, soap, mental and dental assistance and some clothes to the kids. Now they are gathering funds to build a permanent shelter for the homeless in Brasov. Just the kids, that is.

It's really admirable of you to get close enough to these people to get this close documentation of them. The average person would walk the other way and just not give 2 shits. Bravo. =)

Your determination to get the shot is admirable. The other day I was walking through downton Los Angeles, and I tried to take a shot of some people smoking crack. Unfortunately they all went inside a building before I could cross the street. At first I was disappointed, then I felt releaved. I wish I hadn't felt that. How do you approach someone high on drugs and take their picture without them, well, going crazy?

You sure had guts to go around and take this kind of photos... When I lived in Romania I couldn't even imagine getting this close to them, much less taking photos.

I love your 'Homeless in Romania' series. It shows one side of the country that few people outside know about.
